With his fearless approach, sharp tactical play and ability to compete against the world’s strongest players, Praggnanandhaa is steadily writing a new chapter in Indian chess.
The young grandmaster has already achieved several milestones in his career, becoming one of the most recognised names in the new generation of Indian chess. His rise has been particularly significant because he has repeatedly demonstrated that Indian players can challenge the established global hierarchy at the highest level.
What sets Praggnanandhaa apart is not simply his age, but his composure. Against experienced opponents, he has shown the patience to navigate complicated positions and the confidence to seize opportunities when they arise. His performances have also helped bring greater attention to chess among India’s younger generation.
