π NGTV ENGLISH β SECURITY MARKET REPORT
Tuesday, 1 September 2026 | Expiry-Day Strategy
Market view: Cautiously bearish to range-bound, with very high expiry volatility.
Nifty closed Monday at 24,080.40, while GIFT Nifty indicated a mildly positive opening near 24,178. However, rising crude oil, renewed Middle-East tensions and heavy FII selling remain important risks. Indiaβs Q1 GDP growth at 7.8% provides a positive domestic cushion.
Today is particularly important because it is the Nifty weekly expiry, and expiry-day price swings can become extremely sharp.
π΅ NIFTY 50 β TODAY’S LEVELS
Spot reference: ~24,080
Level View
24,200 Immediate resistance
24,250β24,300 Strong resistance zone
24,000 Major psychological support
23,950 Breakdown trigger
23,850β23,800 Downside targets
Recent technical analysis also identifies the 24,000 area as critical, with the broader expected range around 24,000β24,500.
My intraday bias
Below 24,000 β bearish acceleration likely.
Above 24,200 and sustaining β recovery towards 24,300β24,400 possible.
π― Preferred Nifty expiry trade
BEARISH SETUP β only after confirmation
Buy NIFTY 24,000 PE if Nifty decisively breaks 23,990β24,000.
Possible targets:
T1: 24,000 premium-zone recovery / immediate option move
T2: underlying 23,950
T3: underlying 23,850
Stop-loss: Nifty reclaiming and sustaining above 24,050β24,070.
The 24,000 PE was showing substantial open interest, making this strike particularly relevant for today’s expiry setup.
π¦ BANK NIFTY
Current reference is around 58,025.
Important levels
Resistance: 58,200 β 58,500 β 58,800
Support: 57,800 β 57,500 β 57,200
Bullish scenario
If Bank Nifty crosses and sustains 58,200, upside can extend towards:
58,500 β 58,800
Bearish scenario
Failure around 58,000β58,200 followed by a break of 57,800 could produce:
57,500 β 57,200
π― Bank Nifty option strategy
For a confirmed breakdown:
BUY BANKNIFTY 57,500 PE
For a confirmed breakout:
BUY BANKNIFTY 58,500 CE
Don’t enter both blindly. Wait for the underlying index to confirm the direction first.
β‘ EXPIRY-DAY STRATEGY
My preferred strategy today:
9:15β9:30:
β Avoid immediate option buying. Let the opening volatility settle.
9:30β10:30:
Watch 24,000 Nifty and 58,000 Bank Nifty.
If Nifty < 24,000:
β‘οΈ Bearish option setup.
If Nifty > 24,200 and holds:
β‘οΈ Bullish reversal setup.
After 1:30 PM:
Expiry gamma can become extremely aggressive. Reduce position size and book profits quickly.
π₯ Higher-risk expiry setup
If Nifty remains trapped around 24,000β24,200, a defined-risk spread is preferable to naked option selling.
Bear Put Spread:
Buy 24,000 PE
Sell 23,850 PE
This limits both maximum loss and maximum profit compared with naked option buying/selling.
Nifty’s current option data shows elevated activity around the 24,000β24,200 area.
π‘ GOLD β TODAY
Gold is trading under pressure after a recent correction. Spot gold was around $4,437/oz, while geopolitical tensions and expectations surrounding US labour data and Federal Reserve policy are driving volatility.
View: Neutral to mildly bullish
Global support: ~$4,400
Resistance: ~$4,480β4,500
If gold holds $4,400, recovery towards $4,480β4,500 is possible.
A decisive break below $4,400 could bring another corrective phase.
MCX strategy: Prefer buying on dips rather than chasing a sharp intraday rally.
βͺ SILVER β TODAY
Silver was around $66.34/oz, slightly higher on the day.
View: Volatile but relatively constructive
Support: $65.50β66.00
Resistance: $67.50β68.00
A sustained move above $67.50 could open the way towards $68+.
Failure below $65.50 would weaken the setup.
π¨ NGTV ENGLISH β FINAL CALL
NIFTY 50: π΄ Bearish below 24,000 | π’ Bullish above 24,200
BANK NIFTY: π΄ Bearish below 57,800 | π’ Bullish above 58,200
Preferred option: NIFTY 24,000 PE β ONLY after a confirmed breakdown below 24,000.
Aggressive alternative: BANK NIFTY 57,500 PE after confirmed breakdown below 57,800.
GOLD: π‘ Buy-on-dips bias around support.
SILVER: π’ Mildly bullish above support, but expect high volatility.
Important: These are market-analysis scenarios, not guaranteed calls. On expiry day, option premiums can lose most of their value very quickly; use a predefined stop-loss and risk only a small portion of trading capital. NSE’s official option-chain data should be checked immediately before execution.
