Bali in Seven Days: A Practical Holiday Plan for Two

Bali remains one of the most attractive international getaways for Indian travellers, offering beaches, temples, rice terraces, waterfalls and vibrant nightlife. For two people, a well-planned 7-night trip can be managed at around ₹1.7–₹2.2 lakh, including return flights, accommodation, food, sightseeing and local transport.

DAY 1 — KOLKATA TO BALI

Fly from Kolkata to Denpasar International Airport (DPS), generally with a connection. Keep approximately ₹70,000–₹90,000 for two for return airfare, depending on the booking date. After arrival, transfer to Seminyak, an excellent first base because of its beaches, restaurants and convenient location. Budget ₹5,000–₹7,000 for the night.

DAY 2 — SEMINYAK & ULUWATU

Begin with Seminyak Beach and nearby cafés. In the afternoon, head towards Uluwatu Temple for the famous Kecak dance and sunset. Finish the evening around Jimbaran. Keep ₹4,000–₹6,000 for transport, meals and entry fees for two.

DAY 3 — SEMINYAK TO UBUD

Move to Ubud, Bali’s cultural heart. Stop at Tegallalang Rice Terraces and a waterfall before checking into a boutique hotel. Three nights in a comfortable Ubud property may cost around ₹15,000–₹22,000 for two.

DAY 4 — UBUD EXPLORATION

Visit Sacred Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace and local markets, followed by an evening exploring the town. Allocate around ₹3,000–₹5,000 for food, transport and attractions.

DAY 5 — NUSA PENIDA

Take a day trip to Nusa Penida for its dramatic coastline and viewpoints. A two-person organised trip, including transfers and boat travel, can cost roughly ₹7,000–₹12,000, depending on inclusions.

DAY 6 — MOUNT BATUR OR LEISURE

Choose between a Mount Batur sunrise experience or a relaxed Ubud day featuring cafés, spas and local culture. Budget ₹4,000–₹7,000 for two.

DAY 7 — RETURN TO SEMINYAK & DEPARTURE

Return towards the airport, allowing plenty of time for traffic. Use the final hours for shopping or a beachside meal before flying home.

ESTIMATED BUDGET FOR TWO

Flights: ₹70,000–₹90,000
Hotels: ₹35,000–₹45,000
Food: ₹18,000–₹25,000
Transport & sightseeing: ₹25,000–₹35,000
Visa & tourist levy: approximately ₹6,000+
Miscellaneous: ₹10,000–₹15,000

Total: approximately ₹1.65–₹2.15 lakh for two.

Indian travellers can obtain a visa on arrival; the Indian Consulate also recommends completing the e-VOA, customs declaration and Bali tourist levy online before travelling. The tourist levy is IDR 150,000 per person.
