MARKET OUTLOOK — WEDNESDAY, 26 AUGUST 2026

NIFTY 50 | BANK NIFTY | GOLD | SILVER | MUTUAL FUNDS

Market mood: Tuesday’s session ended on a positive note, but volatility remains high. Nifty 50 closed at 24,334.55, gaining 115.50 points, while Bank Nifty ended almost flat at 57,514.20. Crude oil eased, providing some relief, although geopolitical risks remain an important trigger.

📈 NIFTY 50 — BULLISH ABOVE 24,300

Nifty’s recovery above 24,300 has improved the short-term technical picture. Analysts identify 24,200 as immediate support, followed by 24,050–24,000. On the upside, 24,450–24,500 is the crucial resistance zone; a sustained breakout could open the way towards the August high near 24,774.

NG TV View:
🟢 Above 24,400–24,500: bullish momentum may strengthen.
🟡 24,200–24,400: consolidation zone.
🔴 Below 24,200: caution; weakness could extend towards 24,050–24,000.

OPTION MARKET WATCH

For option traders, the key battle is around the 24,300–24,500 zone. A breakout should ideally be accompanied by strong volume and sustained price action rather than a brief spike.

Bias: MILDLY BULLISH, BUT VOLATILE

🏦 BANK NIFTY — WAIT FOR CONFIRMATION

Bank Nifty closed at 57,514.20. The index continues to find support around its 50-day EMA near 57,245, while reclaiming the 20-day EMA around 57,528 could strengthen the upside case. Resistance is placed around 57,768–57,925.

NG TV View:
🟢 Above 57,550: positive momentum.
🎯 57,768–57,925: key upside zone.
🔴 Below 57,245: caution increases.

OPTION BIAS: NEUTRAL TO MILDLY BULLISH

🪙 GOLD — STRONGER BULLION CHART

MCX Gold remained technically stronger than silver on Tuesday. The October contract was around ₹1,63,720 per 10 grams, with immediate resistance near ₹1,63,800, followed by ₹1,64,500.

NG TV View:
A sustained move above ₹1,63,800 could support another leg higher, while failure to hold short-term moving-average support could trigger consolidation.

Bias: 🟢 BULLISH

🥈 SILVER — HIGH VOLATILITY ZONE

Silver is showing a more cautious technical setup. The September contract was around ₹2,44,461/kg, with resistance around ₹2,45,230 and then ₹2,48,000. Key support stands near ₹2,41,999.

NG TV View:
🟢 Above ₹2,45,230: recovery may strengthen.
🔴 Below ₹2,41,999: downside pressure could increase.

Bias: 🟡 CONSOLIDATION WITH NEGATIVE RISK
